About Sarah
Born and raised in Grand Valley, Ontario, I was immersed in the world of accounting from a young age, raised by a mother who ran her own accounting business. Despite helping out during tax seasons and entering data into spreadsheets, I swore I'd never become an accountant.
Following my passion, I pursued studies at the University of Waterloo School of Architecture and Mohawk College for Urban Planning. Simultaneously, I completed online accounting courses as a backup plan.
Throughout my schooling, I worked full-time in the AEC fields and part-time as an accountant's assistant for my mom over six years. Then, on January 1st, 2021, I took a leap and opened Upkeep Accounting.
Initially running the business at night while maintaining my full-time career, I made the pivotal decision in September 2021 to commit fully to Upkeep Accounting. Since then, I've never looked back.
In just three years, I've grown Upkeep Accounting to the point of expanding my team with remarkable professionals. Together, we've assisted numerous businesses and individuals across the Greater Toronto Area, guiding them through challenges and towards success.
